Long story short: a rather convoluted matter with a lot of variables, hence the decision to provide best-to-my-knowledge defaults, but also an extremely wide user adjustable range that allows everything from minature-land to the opposite. ![]() that could serve as a well known reference are often scaled too large for example for some reason. And whether a game's artists scaled the architecture/assets naturally in proportion to their characters is yet another question. That is a really good way to judge whether scale is about right in regard to NPCs - provided the game doesn't intentionally use an art style with unusual character proportions (like e.g. What I usually do to dial in defaults if possible is finding an NPC that stands still and look him in the eye. While that shouldn't be the case anymore for most games, it's quite likely that there are still profiles that don't reflect the changed calculation. In earlier vorpX versions scale also depended on the aspect ratio a game runs with. I'll check the scale values, the base 3d strength is usually dialed in so that the 1.0 a user sees in the settings UI is what I think provides natural scale, but of course that isn't necessarily fully true. The walking Coeff was 0.97, so it would crop the bastard back and forth just by basically using movement, leading to some sustained confusion :) I discovered the FOV Coeffs because I essentially kept going back between ImageZoom 0.93 and 0.95 wondering why it never felt spot on. here's the lines: (also not sure how FOV is calculated but entering 110 in the optimizer sets DefaultFOV to 120. Also, hit up the walk/run/open multiplers. If you play with my style (snap the cam up and down to save power) that FOV difference is dizzying. You seem to hit the camcorder FOV with ten degrees less than normal FOV. On other subjects, may I suggest something for the INI changes the optimizer does? That has to be something very custom they made. ![]() they have the subnautica going on: head bob and left and right sway.
